Executive Assistant to CEO, UCR Health

The Executive Assistant provides executive level coordination and support to the CEO, UCR Health, and other executives as needed. Provides executive level programmatic and administrative support to the CEO on a wide range of issues, projects, programs, and on matters of importance to UCR Health. Represent UCR Health in a professional manner, exercising sound judgment, tact, and the utmost discretion. Have thorough understanding of the priorities and expectations of the CEO and take these into account in coordinating the CEO's schedule. Manage the calendar of the CEO, assuring the CEO is fully briefed and has all relevant background materials for each engagement, including the preparation of powerpoint presentations. Manage all aspects of the CEO's business. Strategize and advise in university communications, meetings/travel schedules, campus and community events etc. regarding the CEO's role as it applies to each situation. Staff relevant UCR Health committees and work-groups; develop and distribute agendas, attend meetings, record highlights, track action items and initiate follow-up as necessary. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems for easy retrieval. Initiate policies and procedures within the office to achieve maximum efficiency. Manage special projects as assigned. The full salary range for the Executive Assistant is $75,900 - $137,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $110,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Strong skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni/donors, students and external constituents, both verbally and in writing. Advanced service orientation. Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common organization-specific computer applications. Small to mid-level project management skills. Advising and counseling skills. Strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Ability to use a high level of discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
