Staff Accountant

Fantastic opportunity for a skilled staff accountant to work for a high-tech and well known organization. Based in the Irvine area, this position can be fully remote or offer a hybrid schedule if you want to get into an office here and there. Excellent company with a solid employee centered dynamic. The qualified candidate will have the following talents to bring to the table:
• Basic accounting knowledge - 3+ years as a Staff Accountant
• Bachelor's Degree
• High attention to detail and work at a fast pace
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accurate data entry
• Highly deadline driven candidate who produces quality and detailed work
• Payroll experience (we use ADP, but that is not a requirement)
• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
• Reconciliation, general ledger
• Responsible for Accounts Payable including Expense, Upload EFT/Wires into the bank, approve AP related journal entries
• Bi-Weekly Payroll (processing and administrative support) o Answer employee questions for payroll inquiries o Enter new hires into ADP and maintain employee records.
• Prepare 1099 data annually and quarterly tax filings
• Assist in month-end closing (accruals)
