As part of the sales leadership team you’ll be performing a variety of tasks and will be responsible for ensuring the dealership meets new and used vehicle sales quotas and gross objectives – increasing profitability through volume, gross, and CSI. Pay: Base salary + additional commissions/gross profit participation as earned. Total annual compensation ranges from $150k to $250k! What You’ll Be Doing- Forecasts and establishes clear goals and objectives for the Sales Department and strives to meet them
- Hires, trains, motivates, mentors, counsels, and monitors the performance and CSI scores of Sales and Finance Associates
- Maintains a balanced vehicle inventory – consults with Inventory Manager and Used Car Manager monthly on proper model mix and inventory controls
- Stays current on product knowledge including knowledge on competitions products
- Sets and enforces standards for displaying, merchandizing, and maintaining new and used cars
- Works deals on the sales desk at least once per week to stay current and engaged
- Attends off-site manufacturer and corporate trainings
- Resolves customer concerns and disputes daily
- Complies and stays current on all federal, state, and local regulations impacting the automotive sales industry
- Maintains any brand certifications through product tests, classes, etc.
- Holds weekly sales meetings, attends all management meetings, and contributes as needed
- Suggests and develops advertising campaigns for television, web, radio, and print media
- A minimum of 7 years of prior automotive sales experience with at least 2 years previous automotive sales management experience
- Ability to apply and perform basic accounting functions and mathematical operations
- Ability to utilize appropriate software systems and applications including but not limited to Advent, CDK, eLeads, MS Office- Outlook , Excel, Word, MS teams, etc
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to balance profitability with volume goals
- Flexibility to work independently and in a team environment with ability to drive and motivate performance
- Must be able to maintain a high level of integrity
- Strong business acumen with ability to thoroughly understand business implications of decisions
