The Role: Front Desk Supervisor - We are seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to become a key member of our dynamic team at the River Terrace Inn. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Hotel Manager to oversee front office operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless experience from arrival to departure.

This position primarily involves evening shifts (2:15 PM–11:15 PM) and requires flexibility to cover other shifts as needed to meet business demands, including weekends and holidays.

As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will take a proactive role in leading and mentoring front desk staff, handling guest inquiries, and managing operational challenges with a focus on excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily front office operations to ensure guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Assign tasks to guest service agents and provide detailed instructions as needed.
  • Observe and coach front desk and bell staff, encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Greet guests warmly and manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently.
  • Handle payments, including credit card authorizations, cash transactions, and posting charges.
  • Ensure accurate input of guest information and retrieval of messages using the property management system (PMS).
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs and address requests to enhance their experience.
  • Manage VIP arrivals, ensuring special accommodations and requests are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with property management systems or other tools.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and presentation of the front desk area.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of senior management, addressing guest concerns and operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality is a plus.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in customer service, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • High energy, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
  • Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
