Line / Prep Cook Job Details

Merenda is a neighborhood wine bar with a tight, repeatable food program. We’re hiring a Line / Prep Cook to support daily prep and service so nights run smoothly and the kitchen stays organized, stocked, and on pace.

This role focuses on executing prep and service with consistency, care, and attention to detail.

• Stay ahead on prep to avoid last-minute scrambling

• Communicate needs or shortages early

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards

• Assist with breakdown and end-of-shift cleaning

• Prep is completed on time and to spec

• Stations are ready before doors open

• Service runs smoothly and predictably

• The kitchen stays clean, stocked, and organized

• You are reliable, consistent, and easy to work with

• 2+ years experience in a professional kitchen required

• Solid knife skills and basic prep techniques

• Comfortable working prep and line shifts

• Weekend availability

• Hourly, non-exempt

• Prep and service shifts

• Pay based on experience
