About the role

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced BE Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As an BE Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with various platforms, systems, and third-party applications. The BE Engineer will have a deep understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and best practices for building high-performance APIs.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experiences.
• Implement data storage solutions and APIs that support various front-end features.
• Write efficient and secure code, perform code reviews, and adhere to best practices.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Work with AWS services to deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure (strong AWS experience is a plus).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based deployment (a plus).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
