FOX Entertainment’s Business & Legal Affairs department is seeking an experienced business and legal affairs executive to support FOX’s network and studio scripted development and production.
Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace for a minimum of four (4) days per week is an essential function of the position. The selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Negotiate a variety of production and development deals and negotiate and finalize agreements, including all above-the line talent agreements, rights agreements, below-the-line production agreements, and other contracts as necessary
- Provide ongoing legal advice on strategic and complex matters around production, clearance, and other issues
- Analyze agreements in response to business questions, and provide information as necessary
- Manage relationships with agents, lawyers, and studio executives throughout the entertainment industry
- Create and maintain departmental resources and actively participate in the establishment of departmental policies for scripted programming
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Active member of the California bar or Registered In-House Counsel status
- Experienced executive with 5+ years of prior entertainment production and/or distribution experience
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Effective manager of others, adept at supervising, providing feedback, and mentoring other members of the team
- Established relationships within the entertainment community
- Extensive hands-on experience with complex contracts
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and to remain composed under pressure
