General Laborer/ Machine Operator

Connect Staffing is hiring a Coating Operator for a vinyl graphics and coating manufacturing facility in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire overnight position paying $20/hr. In this role, you will set up and operate a coating machine — loading material rolls, threading material through the machine, and setting up pumps, totes, hoses, liners, and adhesives per work order. Overtime is required, and this position runs Sunday through Saturday with varying days off.

Pay:$20.00/hr

Schedule:10:00 PM – 6:30 AM; must be available weekends, days off vary

Responsibilities

• Monitor coating machine output throughout the shift to ensure product meets quality standards.
• Align and load material rolls onto the unwind shaft.
• Thread material through the coating machine according to production setup.
• Unload finished rolls from the machine and move them to the designated staging area.
• Read shop orders, material part numbers, and weekly product schedules to confirm correct setup.
• Keep the work area clean and organized between production runs.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating or setting up industrial coating, laminating, or converting machinery.
• Ability to read and follow shop orders, part numbers, and production schedules.
• Experience handling large material rolls or spools in a production setting.
• Familiarity with adhesives, liners, or film-based materials.
• Experience in a graphics, printing, or vinyl manufacturing environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
