The UCPath Center is the University of California's shared services center in Riverside, CA. The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. Position Summary This position involves handling accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, processing purchase requisitions and orders, creating Salesforce cases, and coordinating overpayment letters. The job requires the ability to pay attention to detail, perform calculations, and maintain accurate records. The role demands a consistent effort to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work collaboratively to offer seamless customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- 50% Apply formulas, pivot tables, and similar functions in a spreadsheet. Compiles and arrays spreadsheets using subject-matter knowledge of the material to ensure data results are consistent with the nature of the data and analyze trends.
- 15% Use specialized office software. May provide direction to other Assistants on office software program application.
- 5% Prepare overpayment letters, add comments in Case Management program cases for both or either AP or AR and respond to inquiries.
- 25% Manage sensitive issues such as, scheduling pay final payments, CASDU and Benefit Plan payments.
- 5% Apply payments received, un-apply payments, create upload spreadsheets for invoices, and initiate mail merges.
Experience Required Qualifications
- Min 2 years Administrative, clerical or related work
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or Payroll field desired.
Skills and Abilities Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge in administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Requires good verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multi-task and time management skills.
- Requires interpersonal and work leadership skills to provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel.
- Adapts service delivery to meet the needs of diverse client base
- Helps and supports fellow employees in their work to contribute to overall success
- Places the needs of the team above self-interest; builds and maintains effective working relationships

Education Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
The University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range shows the growth potential for this position and the pay scale is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
Salary Grade STEPS
Payscale: $27.29 - $39.13 - an hour Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at the UCPath Center in Riverside and remote in California.
