Studio Runner (Part Time)
Living Room
A home away from home where creatives celebrate music, art, design and culture. We are a private membership club open to members and their guests only.
The Role
The Studio Runner is the lifeblood of our daily operations and the primary custodian of the studio experience. This role requires a seamless blend of anticipatory hospitality, technical awareness, and operational precision. You are not just supporting a session; you are fiercely protecting the privacy of our clients, the integrity of our equipment, and the unique atmosphere of the space.
Core Responsibilities
- Hospitality & Artist Support: Proactively manage the studio environment to ensure every client need is met before it is requested. This includes managing food and beverage service, coordinating with external vendors, and maintaining the aesthetic standards of the artist lounges and common areas.
- Session Preparation: Assist engineering staff with technical setups. This includes stage-plotting, running cables with surgical precision, placing microphones, and ensuring the console and outboard gear are prepped for the session start.
- Facility Readiness: Conduct regular sweeps to keep the facility immaculate. You are responsible for the care of delicate equipment and performing a meticulous "normal" of the room at the end of every shift to ensure a perfect start for the next team.
- Access & Discretion: Manage the arrival and movement of artists and their guests. You serve as the frontline of our privacy protocols, ensuring a secure and undisturbed environment at all times.
- Logistics & Errands: Execute essential local runs and logistics with speed and reliability. You will maintain clear, real-time communication with management regarding ETAs and the handling of studio resources.
What We Are Looking For
- Absolute Discretion: You understand that privacy is our cornerstone. You are strictly bound by our zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of unauthorized documentation or social media activity.
- The Service Mindset: You excel at "invisible service"—the ability to read a room, maintain professional distance, and remain instantly available without being intrusive.
- Technical Foundations: A basic understanding of signal flow and studio etiquette. You should be familiar with handling high-end audio equipment and executing clean cable management.
- Reliability & Discipline: You are punctual and respect the protocols of the floor. You understand that in a high-stakes studio environment, there is no detail too small to ignore.
