Cal/OSHA is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join the Administration Unit in a critical fleet and business management position with ancillary duties in contracts and procurement.

Under the direction of the Supervisor I, in the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) in the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), the Analyst II independently performs a variety of more responsible and complex analytical assignments related to fleet management, telecommunications, business services, contracts, procurement, consultation, and reporting functions. The incumbent manages the Division’s Fleet Program and ensures use and inventory of vehicles meets business and operational needs. The incumbent also manages the Division's Telecommunications program and ensures cell phones and accessories are promptly distributed and tracked. The incumbent works closely and frequently with DIR’s Fleet, Telecommunications, Contracts and Procurement, Safey and Security, and Business Management units.

Work Conditions: The incumbent works in a high-rise building with natural and artificial light and temperature controls and occupies a cubicle workspace. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer as necessary for email communication, accessing software platforms, conducting research, drafting documents, and other purposes.
The building is in downtown Oakland, approximately two blocks from the 12th Street Oakland City Center BART station and three blocks from Hwy 980. The Oakland City Center area has many inexpensive places to explore for lunch. On Fridays, there is a farmers' market within walking distance. There is a day care center in the building (whether there are current openings is unknown; those interested would need to inquire). There is a secure bike parking area in the building garage. There is a parking garage in the building for a daily fee. Monthly parking is available but subject to availability.
