ORGANIZATION MISSION STATEMENT:

To combine state-of-the-art equipment, materials, and experience to provide quality workmanship with integrity, while mediating with insurance companies on our clients' behalf in order to best meet their needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Athans Auto Body is family owned and operated since 1981. We are a high-volume shop that is currently looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician. In order to qualify for the position, you must have at least 3 years of experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Disassemble vehicles and store/label parts according to the shop process.
• Test-fit and install parts such as bumpers, fenders, grills, moldings, and other bolt-on items.
• Welding, panel replacement, structural, body filler.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Adhering to high-quality standards.
• Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed.
• Repair and research procedures to ensure the vehicle is restored to the original manufacturer’s specifications, including door, hood, and deck alignments, chassis and frame measurements, and welded on unibody parts.
• Protect interior and exterior non-repair areas from dust, dirt, scratches, primer, and overspray.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Auto Body experience.
• Certifications a plus.
• Team Player.
• Good Attitude.
• The ability to read and follow instructions on repair/estimate orders.
• The ability to produce within a specified timeframe and/or deadline and be capable of operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven team environment.
• I-Car/ASE Certifications preferred.
• Drive both manual & automatic transmissions.
• Must have a reliable automobile for use on the job.
• Valid California Driver License with a clean driving record.

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour + Bonus/Commission
