JOB SUMMARY

The Development Coordinator is responsible for working in tandem with the Director of the Development Support Unit in the fulfillment of the vision defined by the strategic plan and service deliverables documents. This includes building the infrastructure of the unit and planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Life Steps Foundation fundraising and marketing process.

ESSENTIAL JOB DELIVERABLES

Donor Cultivation
• Develop and implement resources for donor cultivation to educate and help streamline the processes of soliciting, receiving, recording, acknowledging, recognitions, tracking deadlines, report issuance and record keeping.
• Coordinate and promote the implementation of an annual campaign for Affiliates and BUs.
• Work on LSF website and social media content.
• Work on newsletter.
• Produce thank you letters.
• Handle the cards and year end thank you gifts to Board members.
• Maintain and update donors, files and mailing lists using approved software.

Grant Projects
• Research grant organizations and support the processes of identifying prospects as needed, tracking, proposal/LOI development, follow up, stewarding, and record keeping.
• Work with program site managers applying for grants and contracts to provide the required attachment documents as requested to meet application deadlines.
• Work on grant reports.


Marketing, PR, Branding and Desktop Publishing
• Coordinate updates and dissemination of standard marketing packages and materials to share LSF Group and Affiliate’s mission and vision to community stakeholders.
• Prepare marketing and social media reports and identify individual support prospects using approved software.
• Collect and develop resources on Marketing, PR, Branding and Desktop Publishing to educate oneself and partners on the processes of creating, branding and disseminating internal and external messages.
• Ensure that all materials and publications abide by the brand standards and policies of LSF Group both internally and externally.
• Work with the Development Director to produce community relations materials such as the quarterly newsletter and the annual report.
• Represent LSF at community events to grow the organization’s visibility including at volunteers events, Chamber of Commerce meetings, students fairs, etc.
• Constant Contact E-Blast template development and content.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience of at least 3 years.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a multicultural environment. Familiarity with using an iPad and video conferencing software such as Zoom
• Excellent writing composition and correspondence skills
• Ability to work on basic graphic designs
• Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and follow through multiple tasks to completion in a collaborative environment where teamwork, collegiality and self-motivation are necessary for success
• Strong familiarity with the mail merge process and mass email distribution
• Excellent critical thinking, organizational, analytical skills and project management.
