Hotel Housekeeper PM Shift

Under the direction of the Hotel Executive Housekeeper and Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor, the Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and hotel common areas and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service, ensuring that the highest standards of Bear Springs Hotel are upheld.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming in accordance with brand standard levels of excellence.
· Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
· Responsible for expedient turnover of hotel guest rooms with high quality as defined by service metrics established by hotel management.
· Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed.
· Clean common areas as assigned, including, but not limited to, the lobby, restaurant, and common bathrooms.
· Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed.
· Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis.
· Dispose of trash and recyclables.
· Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
· Perform guest turn down service, as needed.
· Prepares room for VIP arrivals.
· May perform room deliveries as needed.
· May perform laundry duties as needed.
· Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional. If not dressed properly, may be sent home.
· Reports any problems or concerns to their immediate supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
· One year of housekeeping experience recommended .
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
· Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others.
· Ability to cooperate with co-workers, customers, and facility team members.
· Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
· After the training period is completed, must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.
· Must be able to fully understand and complete all in-services.
· Must be able to be at work as scheduled and on time.

· Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled hotel setting.
· Must be able to work in a fast paced, high demand environment.
· Must be able to work in a fast paced environment where responsiveness and customer service are highly valued.
· Must be able to work in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented environment.
· Work requires intermittent sitting, standing and/or stooping as well as bending, crouching or stooping.
· Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
· Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.
· Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
· Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
· Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities, guests and employees.
· The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
