Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to lead and oversee financial operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and timely completion of accounting processes, while fostering collaboration and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and ensuring effective delegation of tasks.

• Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger activities and account reconciliations, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, identifying and resolving issues to ensure deadlines are met.

• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to review aging reports and address outstanding items.

• Supervise the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

• Manage treasury activities, including wire payments, fraud alerts, and bank reconciliations.

• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary schedules and documentation.

• Support the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate across teams.

• Proven ability to deliver reconciliations and participate actively in internal audits.

• Experience in financial statement audits and account reconciliation processes.

• Demonstrated ability to manage journal entries and accruals with precision.
