The Accounts Payable Supervisor supervises all staff and activities in the ECP Accounts Payable function. In addition, the AP Supervisor will drive efficiencies and create and improve business processes to facilitate growth.

Requirements

Objectives of this Role:

• Lead the AP function for ECP and effectively manage the AP Unit.
• Continuously improve processes and drive efficiencies.
• Design and implement internal controls in order to secure and guard company assets.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Own all aspects of Accounts Payable processes and responsibility for relevant SOPs.
• Supervise workflows of departmental needs.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee and supervise the year-end processing of 1099’s.
• Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintain accurate records and control reports.
• Lead payment approval process and ensure that all relevant documentation required to approve vendor payments is prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure that department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
• Train, coach, mentor and supervise staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Review and ensure that outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, review discount opportunities, and review purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Supervise relationships with cross-functional partners, understand their needs and ensure that the company mechanisms and business processes are aligned.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Must have high level of integrity, reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 4 years specific experience in the field of Accounts Payable

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience of people supervision – preferred
• Yardi software experience
