Patient Access Representative – Onsite | Burlingame, CA

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and making a difference in patients’ lives? We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join a dynamic healthcare team in Burlingame, CA . This is an onsite role with variable shifts, primarily during the day (8 AM – 4 PM).

As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient registration experience. If you have recent experience in patient registration and are confident using EPIC, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Greet patients and verify demographic, clinical, and insurance information
• Register patients in EPIC and other systems; collect signatures and scan documents
• Check insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient liabilities
• Refer patients to financial counseling when appropriate
• Support bed management, cashiering, and communication tasks as needed

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ year of recent experience in patient registration or a similar role
• Strong proficiency with EPIC
• Knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology
• Familiarity with EMTALA and Consent Laws
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
