• 20 hours/week, 10 Month Assignment

A leading university is seeking a Finance Associate . The successful candidate will provide part-time accounting and financial support, including processing transactions, managing reimbursements, and ensuring compliance with university policies. The company offers a great work environment!

Finance Associate Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting and finance-related support to a department, unit, or program.
• Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with university policies and federal regulations.
• Administer and process travel cards and expense reimbursements.
• Establish accounts in financial systems and prepare invoices as needed.
• Monitor accounting systems for clearing and outstanding items.
• Maintain departmental financial files, desktop procedures, and process documentation.
• Review transactions, supporting documents, and journal postings for consistency, accuracy, and proper authorization.
• Respond to transactional inquiries from client groups and resolve issues or escalate as appropriate.
• Attend occasional on-site meetings.
• Support other accounting or finance-related duties as assigned.

Finance Associate Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Accounting.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and financial compliance standards.
• Proficiency with computerized office applications and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle Financials preferred).
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform desk-based computer tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial transactions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and client groups.

Finance Associate Shift:

• 5 days per week and 4 hrs/day during office hours
