Litigation Docketing Specialist (Temporary)
Location: 100% Remote (Must Work West Coast Hours) LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking experienced Litigation Docketing Specialists for a fully remote temporary opportunity with a nationally recognized law firm. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in high-volume legal environments, possess strong California docketing experience, and can work independently while supporting a busy litigation team. The firm is experiencing significant growth and is looking for professionals who can immediately contribute by helping reduce a substantial docketing backlog and providing accurate calendaring support to attorneys and legal staff. Key Responsibilities- Enter, maintain, and update litigation deadlines, court dates, and case information in CompuLaw Vision .
- Calculate and calendar deadlines for California state courts , federal courts, and administrative agencies.
- Review court filings, orders, correspondence, and case team requests to accurately determine applicable deadlines.
- Prepare and distribute deadline reports for attorney and staff review.
- Respond to inquiries regarding court rules, filing deadlines, and calendaring procedures.
- Conduct jurisdictional and court rule research and provide concise summaries to legal teams.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure calendaring accuracy and compliance with firm procedures.
- Escalate complex docketing issues to senior team members and management as needed.
- Support attorneys and litigation teams by ensuring deadlines are tracked and maintained accurately.
- Assist with workload surges and overtime requirements as necessary.
- Minimum 2+ years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm environment.
- CompuLaw Vision experience is required.
- California state court docketing experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with additional rules-based calendaring systems, including Milana or similar platforms.
- Previous large law firm experience.
- Paralegal certificate, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experienced in high-volume litigation docketing and calendaring.
- Deep understanding of California court rules and deadline calculations.
- Resourceful, proactive, and highly organized.
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
- Flexible and willing to work overtime to support business needs.
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal training.
