Job Title: Logistics Specialist I

Location: Vacaville, CA

Shift: Monday Friday, 1st shift (6:00 AM 3:00 PM), 5x onsite

Pay Range: $15.45 $25.75 per hour

Position Summary

The Logistics Specialist I plays a critical role in supporting cGMP operations by executing material logistics activities. This includes the receipt, sampling, storage, and distribution of materials, as well as weighing and kitting direct materials for manufacturing. Specialists will handle and ship hazardous materials when required, maintain accurate records, and operate material handling equipment safely in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute logistics operations in compliance with cGMP and regulatory guidelines.
• Receive, sample, store, and distribute materials for manufacturing use.
• Perform weighing and kitting of direct materials for production.
• Handle and ship hazardous materials as required.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and drum lifters.
• Utilize business and support systems (DCS, POMS, SAP, LIMS, PQS, etc.) for data entry and inventory management.
• Conduct inventory checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate documentation with a goal of 100% accuracy.
• Prepare raw materials for shipment to other Genentech sites.
• Perform cleaning/washing of soiled parts and equipment per established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inspection-ready work environment.
• Proactively complete all training and certifications.
• Escalate process issues as needed and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Communicate effectively in a professional, team-based environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• High attention to detail with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Warehouse and inventory management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with validated, computer-based systems in a regulated environment desirable.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklift certification preferred).
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
