Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a production environment
• Considerable hands-on experience developing services for backend APIs (e.g. REST, RPC, GraphQL)
• Write and maintain scalable enterprise quality services
• Set Up, configure maintain, and enhance proper infrastructure to support JavaScript / Node.js / TypeScript / Go based services
• Maintain and enhance out distributed microservice based API architecture
• Proficiency using Git, JIRA, Datadog, Splunk, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
• Evaluate the technical trade-offs of every decision

Description

Contributing as a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include all phases of service development including, microservice architecture and design, supporting integration APIs with GraphQL and REST, scalable and intelligent infrastructure leveraging AWS. We are looking for a hardworking individual with a passion for solving real world problems using distributed services. The ideal candidate has a passion for taking on difficult challenges and delivering long lasting solutions.

Education & Experience

BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

Additional Requirements

• Professional experience with cloud infrastructure and AWS components

• Previously written and maintained headless ETL services

• Experience serializing structured data with Protobuf and transition through various communication patterns like gRPC and pub/sub

• Proven proficiency with relational databases and SQL

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
