Now Hiring: Assembly / Production Associate (1st Shift – Temp Position)

Location:Oxnard CA

Shift: 1st Shift – 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM

Schedule Requirements: Must be open to working up to 10-hour days and Saturdays as needed

Employment Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: $17.36 per hour

Position Summary

Our client is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Assembly / Production Associates to support operations in a food manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Line Lead and/or Production Supervisor and works with the production team on packaging lines and raw material processing to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

Candidates must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Model and support a safety and food safety culture
• Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards
• Assist on packaging lines and raw material processing
• Perform Critical Control Point (CCP) and Red Zone checks
• Stage and prepare raw materials for production
• Support Quality, Warehouse, and other plant departments as needed
• Rotate between production lines as scheduled
• Participate in sanitation activities and master sanitation schedules
• Attend daily production meetings and provide shift handoff updates
• Complete all required safety, food safety, compliance, and quality training
• Monitor production lines and provide temporary coverage as needed
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
• Participate in company committees such as the Safety Committee
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
• Demonstrate teamwork, inclusion, and engagement
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or state-issued equivalency preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including Saturdays and extended shifts
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
• Knowledge or familiarity with:
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Food Safety standards
  • HACCP principles (preferred)
• Ability to work well in a team-based, fast-paced environment
• Must follow all GMP and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

Physical Requirements

• Stand and/or walk up to 100% of the workday
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs repeatedly
• Perform repetitive hand movements
• Work under industrial conditions
• Climb stairs and work in elevated areas during clean-up
• Handle pressure and competing demands in a team environment
