Technical Program Manager, Tesla AI
As a Technical Program Manager on the Tesla AI team, you will drive cross-functional programs across data collection, data labeling, new vehicle programs, and AI operations. You will partner closely with engineering, operations, and global teams to define priorities, track execution, and remove blockers — ensuring Tesla's AI development pipeline runs efficiently and at scale. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and operational excellence, and will have direct impact on Tesla's autonomous and AI initiatives. What You'll Do Lead end-to-end program management for Tesla AI initiatives spanning data collection, annotation/labeling pipelines, and new vehicle programs Define and maintain program roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics across multiple concurrent workstreamsCoordinate with data operations, engineering, and QA teams to ensure high-quality labeled datasets are delivered on scheduleIdentify operational bottlenecks and drive process improvements to scale AI data pipelines and labeling workflowsTrack program status, surface risks early, and drive resolutions across engineering and operations stakeholdersServe as the primary point of contact for cross-functional alignment between Tesla's US and global teamsGenerate clear, concise program status reports and executive summaries communicating progress, blockers, and next stepsBuild and maintain tooling or scripts to automate program tracking, reporting, and workflow coordinationSupport new vehicle program launches by coordinating AI readiness milestones across teams- Conduct or coordinate on-site reviews and operational assessments, including travel to global facilities What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience3+ years of technical program management or operations management experience, preferably in AI, autonomous vehicles, or a high-growth technology environmentUnderstanding of machine learning fundamentals, data pipelines, and AI development workflows- Experience managing large-scale data collection or labeling operations is a strong plusExcellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment with competing prioritiesStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and a drive toward actionPassion for the future of transportation and AI technologies Benefits
