A barber cuts, styles, trims, and shaves hair and facial hair, primarily for male clients, using tools like clippers, scissors, and straight razors. Key responsibilities include providing consultations, shampooing, scalp treatments, maintaining sanitation standards, and selling grooming products. They often perform hot towel shaves and facial massages. Cutting & Styling: Trimming, tapering, or fading hair using clippers and shears, and styling with blow dryers or products. Shaving & Grooming: Shaving, trimming, and shaping beards, moustaches, and sideburns. Consultation: Analyzing hair/scalp, discussing desired styles, and recommending products. Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting tools (combs, shears, razors) and workstations between clients. Customer Service: Managing appointments, processing payments, and building client rapport.
