Job Description
HII is looking for a Technical Project Manager. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end management of AFWERX information technology projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring IT project activities, while collaborating with AFWERX teams, stakeholders, and government representatives to ensure successful execution.
Essential Job Responsibilities
The Technical Project Manager shall:
- Manage information technology projects from inception to completion, ensuring programs meet schedule, cost, and scope constraints.
- Plan, organize, and direct project execution activities using established project management principles.
- Coordinate with Government leads, the COR, and other designated representatives as required.
- Ensure project documentation, communication, and reporting requirements are met per PWS guidelines.
- Identify risks and issues that may impact performance and communicate them promptly to the appropriate Government personnel (CO/COR).
- Support monthly reporting through inputs to the Monthly Status Report (MSR) as required.
- Participate in technical or status meetings.
- Maintain professional communication and ensure compliance with all general performance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Be capable of working independently.
- Have training and experience appropriate to assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and customer service ability.
- SECRET clearance required at a minimum.
- Must maintain clearance for the duration of performance. Must comply with all AFWERX OPSEC and CUI handling requirements.
