About the Role:
As Director of Technical Service , you’ll oversee all aspects of Aquafinity’s field service operations — from technician development and project execution to customer support and operational strategy. You’ll lead a talented service team, manage high-impact installation and maintenance projects, and serve as the go-to technical expert for both internal teams and customers.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who can balance field involvement with strategic direction — ensuring that Aquafinity’s service division continues to deliver excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of service technicians across multiple regions
- Set performance standards, conduct evaluations, and drive professional growth
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Technical Support & Training
- Serve as the primary technical resource for internal teams and clients
- Conduct on-site training and workshops to elevate technical expertise
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and water quality challenges
Operations & Project Management
- Oversee daily service operations, technician deployment, and scheduling
- Manage multiple installation and maintenance projects simultaneously
- Develop SOPs that drive consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Monitor safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance
Customer & Business Leadership
- Act as the key point of contact for all service-related client needs
- Support preventative maintenance programs and service-based revenue growth
- Contribute technical insight to business development and strategic initiatives
Financial Management
- Assist in creating and managing departmental budgets
- Forecast and track expenses and revenue
- Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of experience in the aquatics, service operations, or project management fields
- Strong technical knowledge of aquatic systems, pumps, motors, filtration, and water chemistry
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency with ERP systems and project management tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
