• Location: University Hospital, Madison, WI 53792 (Wisconsin healthcare jobs)
• Employment Type: Travel/Locum Tenens EEG Technologist
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (September 29, 2025 – December 29, 2025)
• Schedule: Day shifts, Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm; rotating weekends (no on-call)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1870–$1920
• Setting: Hospital Electroencephalography (EEG) Unit – Level 1 Trauma Center
• Parking: Permit required; alternative transportation options available

EEG Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a clinical Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist OR 5 years as a Seizure Monitor Technician or similar healthcare role
• Pediatric EEG experience required
• Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or large hospital setting
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program OR R.EEG.T credential with at least 2 years of EEG experience OR 2 years of IONM procedure experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Epic charting system proficiency
• Ability to pass adult and pediatric telemetry competency exams
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from Madison, WI
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Prior travel healthcare experience highly preferred

EEG Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic neurophysiological testing: EEG, EP, NCS, long-term epilepsy monitoring (LTM), ICU/EEG, and related procedures
• Obtain and document relevant patient history; analyze data during recordings for accuracy and validity
• Work collaboratively with senior staff and physicians; independently analyze neurodiagnostic data
• Float between hospital units and locations as needed within the Madison healthcare system
• Operate specialized EEG equipment: Natus Neuroworks XLTEK, Zeto quick read EEG, MRI/CT conditional EEG leads
• Provide neurodiagnostic care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Participate in orientation and ongoing competency renewal as required by hospital standards
