Job Summary

Our Produce Department offers an impressive wide variety of delicious, exotic, fresh fruits and vegetables. In this department, you will work closely with a team to help create a great selection. Produce Clerks are devoted to ensuring proper presentation of our unique produce along with providing a smile and answer customer questions in a friendly and helpful manner. This position is responsible for the proper stocking, trimming and merchandising of products to ensure fresh, high quality offerings. Further duties also include helping unload trucks and restocking produce displays and refrigeration units.

Key Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times and follows all established safety guidelines and procedures
• Receives, unloads, and puts away delivered product

Prepares produce products for the floor displays and produce cases

• Checks codes, rotates products, and removes damaged or out-of-date products
• Answers questions, and practices suggestive selling
• Performs other duties as required or requested by management

Physical Requirements

• Able to work prolonged periods of time in an environment with fluctuating temperature ranges
• Able to stand prolonged periods of time
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays
