Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.
Position Overview
Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)
The Aerospace Demand Planner will be responsible for managing and forecasting the demand for aerospace parts and components, ensuring an efficient supply chain, and helping to maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer and production requirements. The role involves close collaboration with various departments, including procurement, sales, and production, to ensure accurate forecasting and timely delivery of products.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for aerospace parts and components, using historical data, sales trends, and market analysis.
- Collaborate with supply chain and inventory management teams to ensure proper inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and avoid overstocking.
- Leverage advanced software such as SAP, and tools like Power BI for analysis and visualization.
- Participate in the S&OP process by providing demand data and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align supply and demand.
- Work closely with sales, operations, engineering, and procurement teams to gather insights, understand market trends, and ensure timely supply of materials.
- Continuously evaluate and improve forecasting and demand planning processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Generate and maintain reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, order status, and key performance metrics for internal stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks related to supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate any impact on demand fulfillment.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Data Analytics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain management, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of demand forecasting methodologies and tools (e.g., ERP systems, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience with inventory management and production planning.
- Proficient in data analysis and working with large datasets.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with aerospace-specific supply chain challenges and strategies is a plus.
- Certification in APICS or related demand planning certifications is a plus.
