Job Description
The Packer/Tester validates tested equipment and carefully packs finished products in line with standard testing and packaging procedures. This role supports efficient production by handling inventory, performing basic testing with purpose-built equipment, and maintaining high quality standards for industrial automation and low power telemetry products used in demanding environments.
1st shift: 6am to 2:30pm
$19 - $23/hr
Responsibilities
- Follow company packing procedures and standards to ensure consistent and accurate packaging of products.
- Lift and move materials weighing 10–15 lbs on a daily basis, and safely handle items up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Handle inventory with care and strong attention to detail to prevent damage and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Adhere to safety programs and OSHA-compliant practices to maintain a safe work environment.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage coworkers to do the same.
- Ensure product orders are packed, labeled, and moved carefully to the appropriate areas for shipment.
- Work at different stations as production requires, including packing, testing, and assembly areas.
- Inspect products prior to packing to verify they meet quality and specification requirements.
- Package products using appropriate materials and methods to protect equipment during storage and transport.
- Use purpose-built test equipment to verify compliance with quality, safety, and production standards.
- Monitor and follow work rules and standard operating procedures to support efficient operation of equipment.
- Assist with basic electromechanical assembly tasks as needed, including handling small components and hardware.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both production and warehouse environments.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding issues, defects, or process improvements.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment by supporting coworkers and helping to meet production goals.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of assembler experience, preferably in the electronic or medical device industry.
- Experience with packing and packaging activities in a production or warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and understand assembly instructions and blueprints.
- Experience performing electromechanical assembly, including basic wiring and crimping.
- Familiarity with using automatic test equipment for basic product testing.
- Proficiency with common hand tools used in assembly, testing, and packaging tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good math skills to support measurement, counting, and basic calculations.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude for working with industrial products and equipment.
- High attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in testing and packing.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team in a production environment.
- Ability to safely lift and handle up to 50 lbs as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing, industrial automation, or medical device production.
- Comfort working with low power telemetry and industrial measurement devices.
- Experience in environments that include quality, testing, and assembly departments.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety practices in a production or warehouse setting.
- Ability to adapt to working at different stations as production needs change.
- Strong reliability and attendance record to support consistent production output.

Work Environment
The work environment is calm and steady, with a mellow atmosphere that allows you to choose whether to sit or stand while working, depending on the task. The facility includes production areas with dedicated quality, testing, and assembly departments, as well as warehouse testing stations where products are verified before packing. You work a weekday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the possibility of a 7:00 a.m. start and occasional Saturday overtime as needed. The role involves handling industrial automation and low power telemetry equipment, using purpose-built test equipment, hand tools, and standard packing materials. Safety and cleanliness are priorities, with OSHA-compliant practices and clear safety policies in place to maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
