Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement
• Manage and mentor a team of senior and staff accountants, providing coaching, training, and performance guidance
• Identify, lead, and execute process improvement initiatives to reduce close timelines and increase efficiency
• Design and implement scalable processes, templates, and automation solutions across the accounting function
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (FP&A, operations, IT) to improve data flow, reporting accuracy, and overall financial processes
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables
• Analyze financial results, including variance analysis and flux explanations, and communicate insights to leadership
• Drive adoption of new systems, tools, and reporting capabilities to enhance productivity and decision-making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong general ledger and close experience in a large, high-volume organization
• Demonstrated success driving process improvements, close acceleration, and/or system implementations
• Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs; Power Query and/or VBA strongly preferred)
• Experience with large ERP systems required
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, or SQL strongly preferred
• CPA or CPA track highly preferred
