Commercial Roofer – Lab Facility Project

We’re hiring an experienced Commercial Roofer to support a high‑profile lab facility project in Torrey Pines. This role offers steady first‑shift hours , competitive pay, and the opportunity to work on specialized commercial roofing systems alongside an experienced, safety‑focused team.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily roofing operations under the direction of the Site Superintendent
• Install, repair, and service single‑ply roofing systems
• Install, repair, and service metal roofing systems
• Assist with roofing reroutes and installations within an active lab facility
• Follow strict safety standards, site protocols, and project guidelines at all times
• Safely use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
• Communicate clearly with the superintendent and crew to maintain efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate job number documentation for invoicing and project tracking
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard‑free
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to contribute each day

What We’re Looking For

• 4–5 years of commercial roofing experience
• Hands‑on experience with single‑ply and metal roofing systems
• Strong understanding of construction site safety requirements
• Ability to take direction and work effectively within a team
• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑minded work ethic
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying conditions
• Proficient with standard hand tools and power tools

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Rate: $24–$32/hour (based on experience)
• Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Work Environment

This position is based on an active construction site within a lab facility . Work is primarily outdoors and on rooftops in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment. Strict site protocols must be followed at all times. Standard PPE, work boots, and construction attire are required.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
