Principal Compliance Representative (Lead)
Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of an Administrator I, the Principal Compliance Representative (PCR) will have the responsibility of providing their expertise serving in a lead capacity over a team of Field Collection staff. The PCR is responsible for providing technical guidance on the most complex and sensitive matters pertaining to Franchise Tax Board's (FTB) practices, policies and procedures.Responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying, documenting and resolving complex or technical issues and providing guidance for a team comprised of Field Compliance Representatives in the Field Office. The incumbent will be responsible for locating and assigning accounts to staff, reviewing and monitoring the work of the team, providing and reviewing monthly reports, providing timely feedback and promoting the Department's Mission and Values.
The incumbent will act as a technical expert and trainer on complex legal actions, such as real and personal property, warrants, subpoenas duces tecum, nominee liens, jeopardy assessments and transferee assessments, liens, and orders to withhold. The incumbent will conduct training classes for team members when necessary. The PCR will assist at the Public Counter as a back-up lead or as a technical resource
Principal Compliance Representatives are required to meet all requirements of Policy File 5035, Appointment to and continuation in this position requires that the incumbent possess a valid California driver license and proof of vehicle insurance.

Working Conditions
This position is eligible for limited remote working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework. This is subject to change.

- Experience and knowledge in advanced Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entity (BE) collection law, policies, activities and procedures

- Knowledge of FTB systems (Taxpayer Information [TI],Accounts Receivable Collection System [ARCS], Business Entities Tax System [BETS], Integrated Nonfiler Compliance [INC], Taxpayer Folder [TPF], Case Management CM and related dependent systems)
- Successful completion of advanced field collection actions (Warrants, subpoenas, nominee liens, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Have strong work ethic
