Operating Data Center Construction Director

This role is pivotal in overseeing the construction, testing, and qualification of state-of-the-art data centers and clean rooms. - Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in constructing, testing, and qualifying data centers or clean rooms within the electronics industry.
- Proven track record of managing projects with no involvement in litigation related to personal integrity, building performance, utility system performance, or any nonperformance issues attributed to the employer.
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience in monitoring contamination control, including air and surface particle counts.
- Understanding of data center infrastructure, especially in power distribution, cooling systems, and network operations.
- Quality Control:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality control procedures for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience in conducting regular inspections and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards pertinent to data center construction and cleanroom environments.
- Experience ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to safety and environmental concerns.
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to address project-related challenges.
- Communication:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in preparing and presenting comprehensive reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Adaptability:
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel
Additional Preferences:
- Experience with energy-efficient design in data centers.
- Familiarity with monitoring systems for maintaining cleanroom or data center environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
