Select Staffing has a great opportunity for a Buyer within an electronics manufacturing company in Moorpark, CA.

Pay: $70K – $75K

Schedule: 4/10 or 5/8 available

Performance to hire opportunity

This position will be responsible for creating purchase orders, alerting program managers when orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed. The successful candidate for this position has experience and familiarity with electronic components, printed circuit boards and the manufacturing industry.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews and coordinates purchase requests for quotes, bids, and proposals.

• Negotiates with suppliers establishing price, delivery, quantity, payment terms, scope of work.
• Research sources of supply.
• Is a liaison between vendor, sales and engineering

• Keep an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
• Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase

• orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.

• Maintain records in accordance with established policies/procedures and audit guidelines.
• Keep the Purchasing Manager informed of all activities as necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
• Have a working understanding of a MRP System.

Knowledge and Skill:

• Must have a strong technical knowledge of PCB’s and their manufacturing process; rigid, rigid-flex, flex,
• and HDI.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with vendors, customers, and other internal
• departments.
• Strong negotiating skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively multitask throughout the day.

Work experience requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of purchasing experience as a Buyer or equivalent, preferably in the electronics industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel and MS Office Suite
• Experience with Manex is preferred but not required.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
