Anesthesiologist - Locum

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist in San Francisco, California. This is a full-time, hospital-based assignment providing OR coverage for adult and adolescent patients.

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a hospital surgical department for a 26+ week assignment. The physician will be supported by CRNAs and work Monday through Friday with no call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of anesthesia experience and strong regional anesthesia skills (preferred but not required).

• Location: San Francisco, California

• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  – Standard Hours: 5x8
  – Shift Time: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM on Wednesdays)

• Shift Type: Day only – no call

• Contract Length: 26+ weeks

• Practice Setting: Hospital

• EMR System: Epic

Work Details:

• Coverage: Hospital OR (all types of cases)

• Support Staff: CRNA

• Patient Population: Adults and adolescents (13+)

• Hospital Bed Size: TBD

• Patients per Day: TBD

• Special Procedures: TBD

• Regional skills strongly preferred but not required

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certification in Anesthesiology required (will consider truly Board Eligible if fellowship-trained)

• Active California medical license

• DEA registration with California Schedule 2/2N authority

• BLS and ACLS (AHA required)

• Minimum two (2) years of anesthesiology experience
