OT - T- ATTENDANCE COORDINATOR
Job Description and Duties
Under the supervision of the Operations Support Bureau Chief (DESA I), the Office Technician is responsible for the support functions in the local branch personnel unit. The incumbent performs all aspects of personnel support services. Is responsible for the accuracy and recording of attendance for all employees of the branch. Verifies the attendance posted on the leave balance request forms. Maintains monthly balances of earned and used leave time for all employees. Acts as liaison to the Departmental Personnel Bureau and Central Support Services Branch (CSSB) on complex personnel issues. Updates and maintains organizational charts for the Branch. Maintains the Branch position roster. Prepares other reports and forms for personnel transactions, including hiring and exit forms (i.e. PS 222). Assists employees regarding health benefits, retirement, deferred compensation and other routine benefit matters. Establishes new procedures as they develop, and monitors processes to ensure compliance with established policies and guidelines.

Working Conditions
This work location is in the heart of Glendale, CA 91203 with many restaurants and shopping areas within walking distance. The building has easy access to I-5 and CA-134 and transit routes.
This position is eligible for one day of telework per week upon completion of probation. This position is eligible for hybrid work in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order N-22-25 and at the sole discretion of the Department of Social Services under California Government Code Section 14200. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be re-evaluated at any time. The incumbent will be expected to report for in office work and attend work related in-person events as deemed operationally necessary. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the CDSS policies. For positions advertised in more than one location, headquarter location may be designated on the selected candidate's primary residence location, and/or the closest CDSS location in accordance with operational need and available space. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.
