Project Manager - Commercial Renewable Energy

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead commercial solar and energy projects from planning through execution. This role is responsible for managing complex installations, coordinating field teams, and ensuring projects move efficiently through permitting, utility approvals, and final delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong technical experience in commercial energy or construction projects and can operate independently with minimal oversight. This position plays a critical role in driving project throughput, maintaining timelines, and reducing operational bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial energy and solar projects from pre-construction through completion
• Coordinate permitting, utility approvals, inspections, and project scheduling
• Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings
• Maintain project documentation, budgets, and progress tracking
• Interface with utilities, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
• Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and technical challenges
• Communicate project status, timelines, and updates to internal stakeholders
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in project management within construction, energy, or solar
• Experience managing commercial or industrial projects with full lifecycle ownership
• Strong understanding of permitting, inspections, and utility coordination processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical plans
• Experience managing field teams and multiple concurrent projects
• Familiarity with solar, renewable energy, or electrical systems preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
