As a Spa Esthetician at Asaya Spa, Rosewood Sand Hill , you will deliver refined, results-driven skincare experiences in a serene, luxury setting. This role is dedicated to providing, but not limited to, highly personalized service while upholding the standards of a Forbes Five-Star environment.

The Esthetician performs luxury facials and select body treatments, demonstrating strong technical expertise across industry-standard modalities and a willingness to train in Asaya’s signature protocols. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, a passion for continuous learning, and the ability to confidently recommend products and services that support each guest’s wellness journey.

Candidates must hold and maintain a current esthetics license (dual licensure preferred)

Responsibilities

• Uphold and consistently execute all departmental policies, service procedures, and brand standards .

• Deliver each service with precision, professionalism, and timeliness , ensuring punctuality and seamless guest flow.

• Provide spa, beauty, and massage treatments in alignment with Asaya Spa service standards .

• Maintain accurate client records , treatment notes, and follow all protocols related to equipment, hygiene, and environment.

• Demonstrate schedule flexibility to support operational needs, including, but not limited to nights, weekends and holidays.

• Educate and engage guests through thoughtful service and retail recommendations .

• Communicate effectively with spa leadership regarding guest feedback, concerns, or operational needs .

• Foster positive, professional relationships with spa colleagues, hotel partners, and returning guests .

• Adhere to all safety procedures , escalating concerns promptly to management.

• Prepare and reset treatment rooms to luxury presentation standards between each guest.

• Participate actively in training, meetings, and special events , supporting a culture of excellence.

• Maintain a positive, service-driven presence that contributes to a refined and collaborative work environment.

• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of spa and hotel operations.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in advanced facial treatments , including, but not limited to microdermabrasion, nano-pen infusions, chemical peels, LED therapies, radiofrequency, microcurrent, dermaplaning, specialized facial massage techniques (Gua Sha, lymphatic drainage), current facial technology and in-depth skin analysis for customized, high-demand treatments.

• Experienced in body treatments and rituals , including exfoliating scrubs, wraps, and additional seasonal spa experiences.

• Knowledgeable in professional skincare lines with the ability to recommend products that support long-term skin health and high retail sales.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages a plus.

• Meets the physical demands of a spa environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs., extended standing, bending, reaching, and maintaining clear communication with guests and colleagues.

• Holds and maintains a current California Esthetician license .

Licenses & Certifications: Must hold a current California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Esthetician license ; dual licensure in Nail Technology or Massage Therapy is preferred but not required.

Pay

The pay rate for this position is $17.55/hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel luxury experience and/or Fine Dining Restaurant Experience.
