The Opportunity
Our partner is hiring a Founding Sales Development Representative to help scale outbound pipeline generation and play a meaningful role in the next phase of company growth. This is an onsite role in San Francisco for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys prospecting, and wants to be part of building a high-performing outbound motion inside a breakout-stage business.
This is not a plug-and-play SDR seat where you are simply handed a script and told to execute. The foundation is in place, but there is still real room to sharpen messaging, improve targeting, and help shape the playbook. It is an especially compelling opportunity for someone who wants more ownership than a traditional SDR role offers and is excited by the idea of helping build something with direct visibility to revenue outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting across phone, email, and other channels
- Execute high-volume outbound activity with a strong emphasis on phone-based prospecting
- Research target accounts and buyers to improve personalization and conversion
- Qualify prospective customers and hand off strong opportunities to Account Executives
- Partner closely with sales leadership and the broader commercial team to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategy
- Track activity, pipeline development, and account progress accurately in internal systems
- Share feedback on market response, outreach performance, and process improvements
- Contribute to building a repeatable, scalable outbound engine as the team grows
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in an SDR, BDR, or similar outbound prospecting role
- Demonstrated success or strong comfort with high-volume cold calling and outbound pipeline generation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in San Francisco
- High level of organization, follow-through, and personal accountability
- Comfort operating in a startup environment where speed, adaptability, and initiative matter
- Thoughtful, proactive approach to prospecting rather than purely activity-driven outreach
- Interest in technology and curiosity around AI tools, workflow automation, and modern go-to-market systems
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn, iterate, and help improve process over time
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in an early-stage startup or similarly fast-paced environment
- Exposure to SaaS, logistics, supply chain, or other operationally complex industries
- Interest in growing into a closing role over time
