Network Cyber Security Engineer
Title: Network Cyber Security Engineer Location: Four days on site Newport Beach, CA, 92660, 1 day remote Duration:12 months, with the potential to extend open ended Shift: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. There is the possibility of some work outside those hours for special projects. This role involves developing, implementing, operating, and monitoring of the applicable technology and systems within the network security team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network security operations, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Job Duties - Assist with the full scope of operations and maintenance of the organization's network security infrastructure. Ensure network security operates efficiently and meets organizational needs. Monitor network security performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. Implement network security measures to protect data and resources. Develop and implement network security operations policies and procedures. Plan and manage network security upgrades and expansions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements and conduct regular network security audits and assessments. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in network security. Establish organization-wide standards for products, platforms, software, hardware, or appliance-based solutions related to network security operations; develop and direct implementation of standards and best practices for the organization . Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, diagrams and schematics. Prepare and present reports on network security performance and incidents. Participate in security incident response efforts by directing first responders to triage an event and performing advanced response actions for escalated events. Attract, retain, and develop top talent; provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to engineering professionals; foster collaboration with team members to drive value and identify and resolve impediments.

Job Requirements - 3+ years leading a network security operations team in an enterprise environment 5+ years of experience in engineering, implementing, and supporting global network security Strong background in network infrastructure and protocols Experience working with outsourced and remote teams Advanced technical skills and experience with the following platforms: Palo Alto, Checkpoint and Cisco FTD firewalls, Imperva cloud WAF, Zscaler, RSA, Splunk, SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Wireshark, Active Directory and Group Policy Objects, Windows and Linux operating systems Effective communication with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and with experience presenting the business side of technical topics to non-technical audiences One or more of the following certifications: GSEC, CCSP, CISSP B.S/MS in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience Job Responsibilities
