Commercial Property Accoutant

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the principal and collaborate with accounting and property management staff, brokers, investors, and lenders.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll take ownership of accounting operations for a portfolio of commercial properties while partnering with leadership on strategic financial decisions. Responsibilities include:

Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and GL account reconciliations.

Assisting with debt refinancing, loan extensions, acquisitions, and exchange transactions.

Reviewing legal and financial documents (operating agreements, loans, purchase/sale agreements, settlement statements) to ensure compliance.

Managing A/P for select properties.

Creating and reviewing budgets and forecasts aligned with ownership goals.

Reviewing CAM reconciliations and assisting with compliance filings.

Supporting year-end work papers, audits, and tax return preparation.

Partnering with property managers, leasing agents, and asset management teams.

Preparing financial models, projections, and presentations for the principal and senior leadership.

Coordinating loan draws and organizing supporting documentation.

What We’re Looking For

B.S. in Accounting or equivalent experience (CPA is a plus).

5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within commercial real estate.

1+ years of supervisory experience.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and QuickBooks.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.

Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).

A proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
