Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Power BI Consultant to design and optimize high-performing dashboards and reports, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Power BI, strong analytical skills, and expertise in data governance, performance tuning, and stakeholder collaboration.
Job Description
- Consulting: Business consulting, IT strategy, and digital transformation
- Skills in optimizing Power BI reports for performance, including data load optimization and query performance tuning
- Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements
- Optimize and improve existing BI solutions
- Able to extract and merge information from a variety of structured and unstructured sources
Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience in designing, building and optimizing Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance and flexibility
- Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Power BI Proficiency:
- Expertise in creating interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service
- Ability to connect to a wide range of data sources, from cloud and on-premises sources
- Experience with Power Query for data transformation and cleansing
- Knowledge of integrating Power BI with Azure services
- Understanding of row-level security (RLS) and other security features in Power BI
- Knowledge of data governance practices and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of NIST standards and guidelines
- Experience with managing Power BI workspaces, datasets, and dataflows
- Understanding of Power BI Premium and its features
- Experience in creating complex dashboards and reports
- Proven ability to work with large datasets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education/Training/Certifications
- Highschool diploma or GED.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Base Compensation: $85k/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.)
