Field Engineer II

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Field Engineer II to support both field operations and project management teams. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, the ability to interpret plans and specifications proficiently, and the leadership skills necessary to help guide field teams and support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with daily field operation oversight

• Proficiently read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications

• Track quantities, production, and project progress

• Assist with cost tracking, documentation, and change management

• Support and coordinate timecard management

• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation

• Assist with subcontractor coordination and scheduling

• Support jobsite setup, logistics, and documentation processes

• Promote and monitor job site safety in compliance with company policies

• Coordinate equipment and materials between field and office teams

• Participate in site walks and pre-construction planning activities

• Provide leadership support to field crews and foster a team-oriented environment

• Professionally represent the company at all times while in the field
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant field experience

• Minimum of 2 years of construction experience, preferably in a leadership or crew lead role

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work both independently and as a team player

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)

• HCSS knowledge preferred

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment and stand/walk for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  
  

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive Salary: $70,304 - $85,000 annually, based on experience
