Field Engineer II

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Field Engineer II to support both field operations and project management teams. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, the ability to interpret plans and specifications proficiently, and the leadership skills necessary to help guide field teams and support successful project execution.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates initiative, communicates effectively with crews and leadership, and takes ownership of accuracy, accountability, and performance in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with daily field operation oversight
Proficiently read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Track quantities, production, and project progress
Assist with cost tracking, documentation, and change management
Support and coordinate timecard management
Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
Assist with subcontractor coordination and scheduling
Support jobsite setup, logistics, and documentation processes
Promote and monitor job site safety in compliance with company policies
Coordinate equipment and materials between field and office teams
Participate in site walks and pre-construction planning activities
Provide leadership support to field crews and foster a team-oriented environment
- Professionally represent the company at all times while in the field
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant field experience
Minimum of 2 years of construction experience, preferably in a leadership or crew lead role
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work both independently and as a team player
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
HCSS knowledge preferred
Ability to work in an outdoor environment and stand/walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Compensation and Benefits
Competitive Salary: $70,304 - $85,000 annually, based on experience
