Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and company requirements. This role involves utilizing hand trucks, hoists, and other material handling equipment to move materials and products as needed for production, shipping, or waste management.

• Utilize hand trucks, hoists, and other material handling equipment to move materials and products.
• Operate hand tools, including electrical and pneumatic powered tools.
• Construct shipping containers, prepare products for shipment, and crate and/or band products as required.
• Inspect products to ensure conformance to quality, engineering, and customer requirements.
• Complete and maintain accurate electronic processes and paperwork, including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding, and shipping/receiving systems.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Complete additional tasks/projects as needed by the department.
• Operate sit-down forklift (Hyster) 80% of the time.

• Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required material handling equipment

This role operates in a manufacturing environment on the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 4:45 pm with a 45-minute lunch break. The dress code requires full-length pants without holes, made of sturdy material such as denim. Steel-toed boots are necessary (not provided), while safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety sleeves are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Dimas, CA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
