Electronics Test Technician (Temporary)

We are a fast-growing Southern California technology innovator that solves tough mission-critical challenges for our customers in the aerospace defense and commercial markets. We design develop and manufacture advanced products for ground maritime and airborne applications.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electronics Test Technician to join our Operations Department. The successful candidate will have electronics and mechanical manufacturing experience. They will be proficient in operating & supporting test systems and test equipment to verify the performance of integrated electro/opto/mechanical systems.

This is a 3-month contract role with the potential to convert to a full-time role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform board level and system level programming and testing using automated test fixtures.
• Perform optical alignment and testing.
• Operate environmental stress screening (ESS) chambers through highly accelerated life testing (HALT)
• Capture and document test data as part of production automated test procedures (ATP) and product traveler documentation.
• Analyze test data in-situ and root cause test issues.
• Work with engineers and manufacturing technicians to improve test procedures and fixtures.
• Perform product assembly as needed including soldering potting and mechanical assembly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in general technical area is a plus
• 2-3 years experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience with operation of automated test fixtures printed circuit board assembly and testing cable harness production ESD control and handling optical components are a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent technical report writing skills
• Basic electrical circuit and mechanical design knowledge sufficient for understanding of test fixtures including basic wiring and computer interfacing
• Must be able to work in a challenging and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork creativity accountability and professional development
• LabVIEW or ESS programming experience is a plus
• Current IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 solder certification is a plus

Pay Range:

$25.50-$31.90/hour
However base salary for this position will vary based on your skills qualifications and experience.
