Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Register, schedule, and process insurance authorizations for patients across emergency and hospital departments while maintaining high data entry accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure demographic and insurance information to register and schedule patients.

• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and obtain necessary service authorizations.

• Interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide high-quality support.

• Utilize Epic EMR and computer systems to log and maintain accurate patient records.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience (or 1 year in a specialized patient access/call center role).

• Direct experience working in a fast-paced hospital or Emergency Department setting.

• Knowledge of managed care plans, medical terminology, and insurance verification.

• Proficiency with computer data entry and Epic EMR systems.
