Job Description and Duties

Would you like to work on the California State Library’s grant programs and help libraries, cities, and counties receive funds to improve their community programs and services, like literacy services and programs for adults, teens, and children? Then this may be the job for you!

Under the direction of the Library Development Services (LDS) Supervisor I, the incumbent performs the more responsible and complex analytical tasks necessary for cost effective implementation and monitoring of all components of assigned local assistance and grant programs.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for telework in accordance with the California State Library Telework policy. The California State Library is headquartered in downtown Sacramento. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Applicants must submit a completed State Application (STD 678) clearly indicating the position you are applying for and the basis of your eligibility. Possession of Minimum Qualifications (MQs) will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting MQs with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. If it is determined a candidate does not meet the MQs, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.
