Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing construction company in San Marcos is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with construction industry experience to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience handling vendor invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and job cost-related accounting functions. Monday-Friday, 8am-1pm. $26-$30/hr DOE

Responsibilities:

-Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
-Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
-Assist with subcontractor and vendor payment processing
-Maintain organized AP records and vendor files
-Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
-Support month-end close and accounting team as needed
-Ensure compliance with internal procedures and approval processes

Qualifications:

-Prior construction accounting or construction AP experience required
-Strong understanding of AP processes and job costing preferred
-Experience with accounting software/ERP systems
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
