Overview :
The Senior Associate, Project Management supports both internal and external operational aspects of ongoing projects within a program. This role ensures alignment between project management, planning, project teams and line management. Responsibilities include mentoring project issues; and implementing mechanisms to track progress and drive problem-solving.
Duties :
- Oversees and manages internal and/or external operational aspects of ongoing projects within a program.
- External aspects require leadership and broad expertise across a multitude of disciplines.
- Internal aspects may include leading a subset of the projects scope, or interface between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Influences the adoption of practices, approaches and concepts across multiple disciplines.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops and implements mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. OR Master's Degree or equivalent with 1 years of prior related experience. OR In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency.
- Prior project management experience in aerospace and defense environment.
